Weekend in kayak through three reservoirs in Extremadura

First Day (Friday)

Theoretical / practical navigation meeting. Reservoir of La Albuera in Zafra, handling of technical material, use of closed boat.

Second Day (Saturday)

In the first hour we will head towards Hornachos and Los Molinos reservoir. The second part of the day will be spent in the nearby Alange reservoir. We will rest at the “Alojamiento rural el Campito” in Zafra.

Third day (Sunday)

Departure from the place of rest towards Olivenza. From here we will go to the Great Lake of Alqueva. In the three places, besides enjoying the navigation, we can observe the birds of the different wetlands.

MAIN ATTRACTIVES 

Have another view of the nature of Extremadura, from its wide surfaces of water. To do this we propose 3 reservoirs of different dimensions. A small swamp such as Los Molinos (34 Hm3), one of medium size as Alange (852 Hm3) and the largest marsh in Europe as Alqueva (4150 Hm3). All of them with a wealth of birds of undoubted value. Optional attractions that can be visited on the route: Historical Set of Alange, Hornachos and Olivença.

Weekend in kayak in the Algarve (Portugal)

First Day (Friday)

Pick up and go to Alvor where we have the lodging.

Second Day (Saturday)

We will begin with a technical workshop for navigation at sea in the area of Alvor and Vau. After the meal the second part of the day will be dedicated to tour the cliffs of the area of Lagos to finally contemplate the sunset at Cabo San Vicente.

Third Day (Sunday)

Departure heading to the beach of Vau (Alvor) and from there to Playa Centianes where we will have the last experience in the sea.

In the different places we visit, besides enjoying the navigation we can observe seabirds and impressive caves, as well as the cliffs present along the coast.

7 days of trekking in Extremadura

First day: Pick up and go to Zafra where the accommodation is. Climb to Castellar and walk through the Monumental City of Zafra.

Second day: Tour of the old road to Los Bonales from Arroyomolinos de Leon to Los Bonales by the park of Aracena and the peaks of Aroche, to reach the monastery of Tentudía, the highest height of the province of Badajoz. Visit to the convent of Calera de león. Return to Zafra.

Third day: Route of King Jayon, Mine of the Jayona, Ara hermitage, Reina citadel, Roman ruins of Regina and visit to Llerena. Return to Zafra.

Fourth day: Salvatierra de los Barros, route through the Sierra del Castillo and visit to the museum of pottery and / or route through the Sierras de Feria, Peak of Mirrio, dolmen and castle of Feria. Return to Zafra.

Fifth day: Route by the Molinos de  Capote in Higuera la Real, Ribera de los Molinos, river and deposit of Capote. Visit to Jerez de los Caballeros and / or Burguillos and its castle. Return to Zafra.

Sixth day: Route through the Sierra de Hornachos, ascent to the castle, visit to the population and the Moorish orchards. Visit to the Roman Oppidum of Hornachuelos and its interpretation center in Ribera del Fresno. Return to Zafra.

Seventh day: Route of peñas Blancas and ascent to  the  Alange castle, visit to the spa.
